Privacy and Data Control
The Amazon Shopper Panel is designed with user consent at its core. Panelists can stop sharing receipts, answering surveys, or enabling ad verification at any time. Amazon only receives information that users explicitly choose to share, such as product names from receipts, survey responses, or ad exposure data. This control helps panelists feel secure while still contributing to better brand insights.
The Ad Verification Feature and VPN Usage
When users opt into ad verification, the Amazon Shopper Panel uses Android’s VpnService to set up an Amazon DNS connection. This is not a full VPN installation – it only allows Amazon to collect data about the ads you see from Amazon or its advertising partners. The feature is optional, and users can turn it off at any time without affecting other program activities.
Eligibility and Getting Started
The Amazon Shopper Panel is currently available to a limited number of US customers. Those who receive an invitation can download the app and start earning immediately. Interested shoppers who did not receive an invite can join a waitlist within the app and will be notified via email when space opens. The program is free to join, and all terms and conditions are accessible inside the app.
