Gross-Net is a practical Polish salary calculator that handles gross-to-net calculations for employees and employers alike. The app is built as a straightforward utility for payroll checks, with each result presented through clear tax and contribution labels. It accepts plain amounts as well as formulas such as 3000+(2*250)+150, so users can include bonuses or extra components in a single calculation.
Core Calculations
The supported contract types include contract of employment, contract of mandate, contract to perform specific work, and appointment, commonly known as umowa o pracę, umowa zlecenie, umowa o dzieło, and powołanie. For each type, Gross-Net calculates gross remuneration, net remuneration, total ZUS (social security) contributions, retirement, disability and sickness insurance, withheld and deducted health insurance, and withholding tax (PIT). On the employer side, it covers total ZUS contributions, accident insurance, Labour Fund, Guaranteed Employee Benefits Fund, and the total cost of employment, which makes the tool useful as an employment cost calculator.
Flexible Input and Results
A useful feature is that the calculator accepts a mathematical expression as the starting amount. This is especially helpful when remuneration depends on a base salary plus commissions, overtime, or other additions. The accident insurance contribution is preset to 1.67%, but the value can be changed to match a specific company rate. Once the calculation is ready, the result can be saved as a text file or JPG image and shared through email or social media.
Overtime Pay and Wear Support
In addition to standard payroll calculations, Gross-Net includes a separate overtime pay calculator. This makes it easier to check how additional hours affect total compensation without switching to another app. The main screens are organized with clearly labelled input fields and result sections, so contributions and taxes are easy to identify at a glance. For quick checks on the go, the Android Wear version supports the same contract types and calculation options directly from the watch. Company logos shown in the app are used with the consent of BRK Sp. z o.o.
