Pool Math by TFP is a dependable pool chemical calculator for anyone who wants clear swimming pool water without guesswork. The Pool Math by TFP app tracks chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium, and stabilizer levels, then shows exactly how much salt, bleach, or other chemicals to add. With Pool Math by TFP, pool owners can approach routine maintenance with confidence and keep their water balanced between testings.
Core Calculations
At its core, Pool Math by TFP works as a complete pool chemical calculator. It includes formulas for pH, free chlorine, calcium hardness, salt, total alkalinity, borates, and CSI. Instead of depending on test strips or smartphone camera estimates, the app encourages users to enter reliable readings from a proper test kit. The resulting calculations help prevent overcorrection and reduce unnecessary chemical spending, which is a common frustration among pool owners.
Maintenance Tracking
Pool Math by TFP also functions as a maintenance tracker for recurring pool tasks. Users can log backwashing, vacuuming, filter cleaning, filter pressure, SWG cell percentage, and flow rate. This creates a practical history that makes it easier to notice patterns and plan future upkeep. The summary page adds test and chemical log insights, turning raw data into a clear overview of how the pool has been performing over time.
Interface and Usability
The interface is straightforward and built for practical use, with clearly labeled input fields and readable results. The design avoids clutter, so users can enter test results quickly and understand what action to take. This makes the app suitable for both new pool owners and experienced hobbyists who want a reliable pool math app without unnecessary complexity.
Premium Features
For those who want deeper record keeping, the premium tier expands the app's usefulness. Subscribers receive unlimited test log history, maintenance reminders, cloud sync, and the ability to sync across multiple devices. It also supports multiple pool or spa configurations and CSV import/export for test logs. These tools are especially valuable for homeowners with multiple water features or anyone who prefers detailed seasonal records.
